The concern
We don't know what legal options are available to obtain from the existing inventory.
What we did
Evaluation of building regulations, three variants, preliminary design for the selected one.
What was the goal?
A clear foundation instead of an expensive gamble.
What was the initial situation?
Any existing building with potential always raises the same question: What can realistically be done here? The owners had ideas and wishes, but no clear picture of whether the desired conversions and expansions were even feasible from a structural and legal perspective. Before investing in planning, a fact-based analysis is worthwhile.
We were able to choose consciously and with a clear conscience from three options.
Ownership, Linth region
What have we accomplished?
I took their wishes seriously and carefully examined them against applicable building regulations. Volume analyses, area calculations, and comparisons of different options were developed step by step, and together with the owners, the possibilities were discussed, evaluated, and incorporated into a preliminary design that served as a solid basis for all further decisions.
What was the result?
The owners were able to make a sound decision. Without the feasibility study, the next step would have been an expensive gamble on untested potential.
This is how the collaboration went
01
Get to know
Discuss the current situation, wishes, and framework conditions together.
02
Reviewing documents
Include existing plans and building regulations.
03
Massing study
Develop and compare three variants with clear priorities.
04
Variant selection
Evaluate together, select a variant and start the preliminary design.
05
Diploma
Hand over plans, sections and views, initiate the next phase.
Plain text from the project
One feasibility study replaces three expensive attempts.
What was the added value for the customer?
clarity
They know what is structurally possible.
Variant comparison
They choose consciously, not on impulse.
Reliable preliminary design
Basis for the next phase.
From wish to planning
A safe transition to the next phase.
